EuroGames 2024 saw our biggest contingent of London Frontrunners descend on Vienna and take part in a wide range of events. Competing in distances from the 4 x 100m relay all the way up to the 10k, 15 athletes represented the club in epic fashion (including in other non-running events too; swimming, cycling and football!).
Golds, silvers, bronzes
Our runners took home golds, silvers, bronzes and more at Vienna, both in age categories and as overall winners! For our overall winners, Denis Gorman came away with the gold in the 5k and Marius Thies with the silver in the 10k, battling hot and humid conditions in very competitive fields. On the track, Tom Watson came home with bronze in the 1500m.
Eurogames is Europe’s biggest LGBTQ+ sporting competition. Started in 1992, the main goal is to provide a safe space for everyone to come together and play sports. This year was London Frontrunner’s biggest and strongest presence at EuroGames in recent times, and we will keep building this momentum ahead the games in Cardiff 2027.
Lyon 2025
The next EuroGames will be held in Lyon, 23rd-26th July, 2025, where London Frontrunners will be sending another contingent of athletes as we look to build on representing the club at events both locally and further afield. Keep your eyes peeled for more information soon about pre-registration for Lyon and reach out to our Race Secretaries for more information!
