Track Sessions

London Frontrunners track session

We currently run track sessions every Tuesday at Mile End Park Stadium and Thursday at Battersea Millenium Arena. Runners should arrive by 6.50pm for a 7.00pm start.

Tuesday track sessions can be booked online (Be Well), via the Be Well app or on the door at a cost of £4.60.

Thursday night track sessions can be booked online (Enable) or on the door at a cost of £5.30.

Who are these sessions intended for?

These sessions are intended for runners who are already fit and who are looking to improve their running. These track sessions can help push you that extra bit.

The sessions will be physically demanding – you don’t need to be fast, but you do need to be able to run for an hour to get the most from the sessions. If you have never done a structured coaching session before, you are strongly advised to try a Wednesday night session before attending.

What sorts of exercises will it involve?

Warm ups, drills, intervals, and a cool down. The session will change from week to week – check the Coaching and Long Run Plan for the details for each session.

Where do we meet?

Tuesday: Mile End Stadium and Track on B140 Rhodeswell Road (corner of Copperfield Road). The club meet at the far corner of the track at the throwing cage (What3Words: ///army.remind.achieving)

Thursday: Battersea Millenium Arena, Carriage Dr E, London SW11 4NJ. Meet at the grandstand on the right as you enter the track.

There are toilets, changing and showers, plus lockers (20p piece) at each of the venues.

We don’t have exclusive use of the tracks, so you will need to be mindful of other runners as well as any activity going on in the centre of the track which may include javelin and hammer throwing! The coach will give an intro to track etiquette as needed.
